Welcome

Never Not Broken[dropcap]T[/dropcap]hank you for stopping by to check out my site. I hope you find it informative and inspirational.

Over the course of 3 years, while my young daughter battled leukemia, I struggled with crippling anxiety and PTSD. The only relief I found was through guided meditation and eventually through freestyle meditation that allowed me not only to relax, but to sink deep into my psyche and the collective unconscious. The guides who appeared to lead me on this journey, the symbols that emerged, and the intense themes showed me where my wounds resided and how to heal them. It was all a process of coming to know myself more deeply, and exploring parts of myself that had been hidden for years. I have written at length about this experience in my book Never Not Broken: A Journey of Unbridled Transformation.

In addition to meditating, I wrote narratives of what had transpired during these meditations and drew pictures to capture a sense of what I had experienced. This was to pull me out of the analytical left brain and shift my focus to the more fluid and creative right brain, to bring balance to the two sides. Sixteen out of nearly 700 of my drawings appear in my book and on this site along with their narratives, with more to come.

My hope is that others will read about my journey and be encouraged to look within themselves to find their own truth—the truth of the self. It isn’t easy. It is a harrowing quest that takes unqualified commitment. But the rewards are beyond measure. You experience a hard-won sense of freedom and an understanding and acceptance of your true self. With this comes a deep and lasting sense of meaning and purpose.
